This past week at Dayton High School, the seniors took a field trip to the local community center to receive gifts and tips from advisers at Lee College, Business Professionals of America (BPA) traveled to the Toyota Center to watch the Houston Rockets play against the Dallas Mavericks, and National Honor Society’s (NHS) rescheduled trash pick up continued on Saturday.

On Tuesday, October 6, the DHS seniors traveled to the local community center to receive tips and tricks on how to apply and survive college. From how to apply for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to applying to the college that fit each individual student, the conference helped put the students at Dayton on the right track.

The following day, October 7, BPA traveled to a conference to receive business advice and also walked around the greater Houston area. Their last stop was at the Toyota Center where the home team Houston Rockets dominated the Dallas Mavericks in a preseason contest.

Lastly on Saturday, October 10, NHS went to Galveston to complete their rescheduled trash pick up which was originally intended for the previous week. Students gathered around the shore and worked together to receive club hours and help the environment.
